    More detail from the report.
Increasing longevity and demographic change pose challenges over the longer term. In
response, the Government will speed up the pace of State Pension Age equilisation for
women from April 2016 so that Women’s State Pension Age reaches 65 in November 2018.

The State Pension Age will then increase to 66 for both men and women from December
    2018 to April 2020.
Following the faster increase to 66, the Government is also considering
future increases to the State Pension Age to manage the ongoing challenges posed by
increasing longevity, and will bring forward proposals in due course. In addition, the
Government will improve the quality and access to pensions in the Spending Review period.

On the downside, although my retirement age wont change, the impact on my wife as she is 10 years older than me, will now retire on 26 July 2028
at the age of 66, although on a previous pension forecast she worked out she would have been older than that even.

How can she retire in 2028 if she is older than you? did you mean younger?

These benchmarks are set to rise so that all Britons born after 6 April 1954 will have to wait until they're 66 from 2020.
I was born 3 weeks too late :(

Following the faster increase to 66, the Government is also considering future increases to the State Pension Age...

I've just lost another year's pension, what's that worth -£5000? It seems to be a moving further away from me the older I get. Born Dec 1954. Wish I hadn't paid up 4 years back stamps this year, just got a request for another £421.20 to make up the gap 2008/9 as I'm not working.

plus it seems to me, another 5 months = £2000 as I was retiring at 64yrs & 7months

All Britons under the age of 57 on 6 April this year will have to wait until they're 66 before they get their pension.

You only need 30 years NI contributions, in case you didn't know.

Not if you were born in 1955

This is me too. Our age group was one of the first groups of women to have to wait til 65 for our state pension - now it has slipped another year. Who knows, it could well change again before we get there
