Increased to 66 in 2020, better than expected.

Didn't he say something about increase starting in 2018 and increasing gradually to 66 in 2020?0

Better for men, worse for women as its both sexes moving to 66 4 years early. Still 67 for me though.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes, no detail though, maybe the 2018 relates to bringing forward the female retirement age more quickly, say to 65 in 2018, I can't see them changing the age by months.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Seems to be an improvement in the upratinguprate the basic State Pension by a triple guarantee of earnings, prices or 2.5 per cent,
whichever is highest, from 2011, while bringing forward the date at which the State Pension
Age will start to rise to 66 to 2018 in order to ensure this is fiscally sustainable; and'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
