Thick, black tights for school?
bestpud
Has anyone seen any black tights (size 9-10) that aren't the thin nylon type ones, please?
All the shops here have thicker grey, red or white/cream tights but the black ones are the thin type and dd will ladder them in no time!
She has knee high socks at the moment but is finding her bum gets a bit chilly in the mornings!
Any ideas?

Primark have packs of three, plain black in the woolly material. I got some yesterday, but can't remember how much they were.:beer:0

Thanks guys.
There was none in Primark early last week but I will take another look now.
I will have a look at Debenhams now but will have to pay postage (I imagine) as there isn't one here.
ETA: you've just said I may get a free delivery code - thanks - will have a look x0 -
A lot of girls round here wear footless leggings the younger girls wear them tucked into their socks and the older girls just the leggings with flat shoes.. they reckon their easier than tights to get on and off for PE too#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Tesco and M&S both had them, although it was a few weeks ago when I got them.0

I couldn't find any in Tesco or M&S but will ask in there now I know they have them in other stores.
Thanks again all - I knew it was a good idea to ask on here!0 -
I brought some grey opaque tights in a pack of 2 from M&S online from the Schoolwear section for DD (didn't notice whether they had black or not) - they are not too thick and certainly seem to do the job
EDIT - they do them in black

Why not try leggings if you can't find them, they would be a bit warmer, too?
Oops sorry, someone else suggested it, that will teach me to read before I type!
