What is the best heater to buy?
coldwater
My boiler had its yearly safety check yesterday and failed due to the flue being corroded. The boiler has been turnt off and a warning sticker placed on it. I had someone come out today and he looked at it and said he has to go and order the part and will be back next week to fit it.
Anyway, its freezing in my house and the little fan heater is doing nothing. I have a child who is ill with croup and one recovering from bronchiolitis so i don't really want to be sitting in a freezing cold house for a week.
What is the best heater to buy that will actually heat a room? Thanks.

A 3kW fan heater from a place like Argos for £10 to £15 will be the quickest way to heat. Not cheap to run though, but if it is just a temporary measure will be OK0

Thank you. Will go and look on Argos now to see what they have.0

Have a look at one of those Halegen{spelling}heaters as they have a safety feature in that if they get knocked over they cut out so that carpets etc don't start a fire.
Not sure of the price as we have had ours a couple of years but you might find them at places like B&Q ETC
If you lived in my village I would gladly lend you mine until your little one is well again,or your boiler fixed.
Hope you get sorted soon as it is freezing cold out there today....0
