ITV is the real loser.
It really is bottom of the barrel stuff now0 -
I love BBC radio 4 comedies.
Some of the best comedy seen on BBC tv started life on radio, and sometimes it was just as enjoyable on radio.
If the BBC were to fade and Sky take it's place would it seek to fill in the radio gaps left behind? I don't think so because they wouldn't see the direct commercial return.
Which, precisely, is why any thinking person would seek to defend the Beeb with whatever faults it may have.
This country has precious few jewels left in its crown and we hear repeated calls from the Murdoch-poisoned, right-wing gentry on here to divest ourselves of yet another.
These calls, which are born almost exclusively of the usual wish not to have to pay the Licence Fee plus a sprinkling of ideological rancour at the clear, global success of what is decidedly a non-private enterprise, MUST be resisted.0
