Tesco products are often more highly priced and therefore, any saving made on fuel will be lost in store.

therefore, my advice is avoid this offer

Tesco happens to be my nearest supermarket, to drive to another would cost me far more in fuel then any saving I would make by shopping there, so any saving would be lost in fuel expense.

Therefore if you do not mind I will ignore your silly advice.

... and they don't sell LPG, so fat lot of use to me. :( Always end up passing these vouchers to my Dad, he's got derv transit van, so an alright saving for him on a £60-70 tank!
  • I buy most of my groceries on-line and and fed up with not receiving the coupons, when I ask the driver where they are I am told they have run out. I've contacted Tesco's customer service and on-line grocery orders and found both department to be rude and helpful.

Just as I predicted! Visited the local Tesco yesterday, petrol up to 118. It had been 115 (and still is at another local supermakret).

Amazing how they manage to turn a '5p' reduction into a '2p' one!

    How they must laugh.

Tesco petrol prices are not the best out there either, therefore, my advice is avoid this offer

Their petrol prices are usually higher, why people go to them is beyond me. But with 5p off they will be about 4p cheaper than the nearest competitor

If you do clever shopping you will be able to spend £50 quite wisely.

For example when I went there last night I bought
    Ecover washing liquid £4.50 ea 2 for £7 ( I got 4 bottles)
Ecover Washing up liquid £2 ea? 2 for £3.50 (with an additional 65p off voucher for each bottle I got these 2 for about £1.90

I also got some dvds (to keep me happy) which I had previously checked were no cheaper online
    Jason Statham collection £7
    Inglorious Basterds £4
Blade Runner double disc final cut £3

Some Buy 1 get 1 free vampire books to keep the OH happy

And various other special offers, soon got us to £50
  • All the diesel prices you guys have quoted are cheaper than what I paid the other day 121.9:eek: which is at a tesco en route to work so is handy to use, but still cheaper than bp at 124.9:( my only other option!
