3 moible have bullied me, what to do ?

Options
Hi

I bought a 3moblie dongle on a 24 month contract (24 months ago, with a "free" laptop) and have been trying to give my 30 days notice for 3 weeks. But they just wouldn't except it and would keep me on the phone at least half an hour trying out all sorts of offers. At the end of the last call (before today's) when I said that I didn't want any of the offers and would like to terminate my account she said OK and then said I'll get my colleague to call you back and put the phone down.

Soooooo.........tonight I've come home from work determined to get them to cancel the account But was put through another 30 minutes of "can I just ask you this " and " I'll just have a look at the account for you". I became quite angry and just keep repeating over and over again that I wanted to cancel. In the end he said he had done this but I'm not convinced. But what made me more angry is that they will only except today as the beginning of my notice. So Instead of October being my last bill I will be billed for November and a final amount in December.

I have had some really poor customer service in the past but this was actual bullying.

Stay clear of 3 Mobile.

December will be nil if you do not use it - the November bill might be just the way they bill (cant remember if they bill a month ahead or not).

From my dealings with them - I told them before even getting into a conversation "No thanks, I want to end the contract" - if they ask why - say you have taken out another offer with another network. If they persist - ask for complaints department (if they put phone down, phone again and first question you ask is put me through to complaints please).

Once I got talked into a £5 a month for life deal at end of contract - which I promptly cancelled within 14 days (took some doing but I got there).

And you can also trying emailing them - or chatting to their online robot (which can be a real person in the end).

Be brave. As they keep spewing their rubbish about other offers at you just keep repeatedly stating 'I want to cancel my contract, I want to cancel my contract, I want to cancel my contract' until they listen.

One has to take inspiration from the great Jeremy Paxman when trying to get others to do as you wish and deserve...

"Good" to see that things haven't changed at Three!!

My wife was was with them years ago (8?) and called up to block her account after her phone was stolen. However all she got for 15 minutes was someone who tried to flog her a variety of upgrades.
