Parking Ticket - Incorrect Reg & No Possible Photo?

Hello! Was wondering if someone could shed any light on my situation...

I have today parked in an 'Excel Parking Services' car park.
I had paid the correct amount for the length of my stay, however there were no designated parking bays left, and so there was a rather large stretch of wall where I parked which obstructed NO cars either in or out of the car park.

Luckily, I finished a lecture early and saw a parking attendant and asked if I was OK to park there, and if not, there was a space available so I will move it now. He said "Too late, I've already booked you and written you a ticket". He then passed me the ticket which he had written.

My immediate thought was that he hadn't, as far as I am aware, taken a photo of my car with the ticket on as he was walking back to his van to get his camera (to take a photo of someone elses car) when I managed to collar him. He also said, after I said I'll move it that "there wasn't much point and to leave it there since I already had a ticket".

There's a number of things wrong with the ticket:
1. Registration is noted as UKK instead of UKX
2. Time of Issue was '12.30' when my lecture did not finish until 1 o'clock (So that's pretty impossible).
3. He's noted on the ticket that 'The P&D (Which I am presuming is Pay and Display Expiry) is Crossed out, as is the 'P&D Ticket Number'.
4. Warning Signs - He has noted as there being 6 when there was only 3
5. The Excel Parking notice does state that 'if no designated bays available, to park with common sense and ensure that there is no obstruction made with the position of the car'. [or something along those lines]

I have read a previous post which stated that if the registration was wrong, they are unable to charge me.

Is it best for me to just leave it and see what happens in regards to the ticket (Presumably with the wrong reg noted on the ticket, he has noted it incorrectly in the system) Then if a reminder comes through to note all the above points?

I do apologise for such a long post, but being a student can't afford to fork out £100 (Which is what it states on the ticket!!!...) for a parking ticket with so many errors on!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

You are taking these clowns too seriously. You don't owe them a penny. Don't contact them and ignore all correspondence from them. They are just a tin-pot private parking company with no more authority to demand this money than you or I.

    Go to agree,

They are a private company, they have no right to 'fine' you. Its not a fine, only council and police can issue fines.

Ignore anything they send to you, everything. File it an ignore it, no mattter if they threaten you with court, bailiffs etc. They have no clout whatsover.

If yu get a bit shaky about it, come back on here for support. And have a look on the PePipoo website, its very interesting.

Some light reading for you, make sure you read at least the first page of threads on each link:

Other threads on MSE parking board, including pics of the letters they'll send (threatograms).

Threads on pepipoo forums (only read those about private parking co's, not Council cases).

You'll see a pattern. Ignore the scammers, stop taking the bogus ticket so seriously!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I posted a while ago about incorrect reg on a ticket and so far, heard nothing. It was issued end of August so I am assuming nothing will arrive now (watch the damn letter come this morning now I've said that!)

If the registration is wrong, how would they get your address anyway? Any search of the DVLA database won't reveal your address if the registration number is wrong, surely?

And, of course, it shows the name of the registered keeper and not the driver.

Excellent. Now tell everyone you know about the scam; how to deal with it and where to get advice.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
