Anyone had a problem with this phone? My son has a 2 year contract with T Mobile and the phone keeps freezing. He sent it back and they repaired it and then it has happened again and had to be sent off again. He has asked for it to be changed for a different phone which they won't do. They said he can't cancel the contract. Anyone else had this happen or any suggestions as to what to do?

I've had this phone for about six months now and really like it. It has frozen on a couple of occasions, though not recently, I just take the battery out and it seems to be fine when it restarts. Did have a lot of teething problems though, but all software related and fixed either by going into the shop I got it from or calling customer services. Hope you get it sorted soon.0

My partner had one of these and he had problems with it since the day he had it. Was sent of to HTC to "fix" it numerous times and it just came back with the same problems. He's now sold it and paid for an iphone 4 (cost him alot of money but at least he now has a reliable phone). Needless to say we will never be buying a HTC again nor will he be taking out a contract with Vodafone ever again!0

It's not really a problem with HTC, it's a problem with Windows Mobile. I recommend to my friends to stick with Android phones or iPhones.0

Agreed, having had various WM devices on test for the past couple of years including the HTC HD2, this sounds like a ROM/WM6.5 issue.
HTC have released a number of ROM updates, in fact there's a new one as of a few days ago, which you can download from their web site:

This one has .NET CF3.5 cooked in rather than CF2.0 which may get rid of quite a few application related bugs (it could also introduce some problems for a small number of apps written for CF2.0, so it's probably worth installing CF2.0 in tandem if you have problems.0 -
I had the same problem with my HD2. I sent it back to the HTC repair centre and they lost it. They sent me a replacemnt but that did the same thing. Every week or two it would die. In the end they gave me a new one. This has worked well. The lost one also turned up later so now I have two.
I have converted both my HD2 to ICS andriod which is much better. WM6.5 is very well designed but it dosnt work properly and never will. Flakey I think is how it would be described. Incredible that manufacturers can make such fundamental mistakes.0
