When you say in the thread title '3rd child now getting DLA' do you mean your 3rd eldest child is getting DLA, or do you now get DLA for 3 children?

Sorry I mean I get dla for my youngest child only.

    Raq,
Please ignore any comments that are not productive (people on here are understandably suspicious as there are many posts on this board basically trying to get lots of money for doing very little- which incidentally I don't think you are!). I understood you to mean one child as you said 'DLA for third child' not 'three children'!
Basically if a child is awarded DLA (at a certain level I think, which I cannot recall) it can mean you get more money with your tax credits (the premium someone else referred to).
I hope the extra money does make life easier, sometimes people forget that if someone needs DLA in the first place they may well have complex, and demanding, needs.

Thankyou so much for that lovely comment. I won't go into all the details about my little boy. It is hard work but we love him tones and do the best we can for him. The last 10 months have been difficult but we are getting there.

Your comment is so rude as you don't know our situation.

I don't know if you saw my previous post about Carer's Allowance but make sure you apply for it. It is taken into account for tax credits but you will still be better off getting it.
