HI all
HOpe all is well.
Just been awarded dla for my 4 year old of £47.00 per week. They rang me to tell me this yesterday. They also stated I should look into getting the allowance but because this is all new to me I don't know how I go about it and will it effect my wftc/tc each week.
Any help would be very much appreicated.
Many thanks

There's a premium payable with tax credits, if you have a disabled child and in receipt of DLA for that child. If possible ring the tax credit helpline and they will advise you, you could also check out HMRC website for details before you apply for it.

The link above should provide you with the info.0 -

Hi there
Thanks for the reply but what is "premium payable" . Also when I logged into www.entitledto.co.uk it stated I should be on much more wftc/tc than I am getting. Again don't want to ring incase this is incorrect.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Hi "premium payable" means you get extra on top of your tax credits because you have a disabled child.
The link I put on explains it, but it depends on how much you get in the first place. If entitled to say you should be getting more, try ringing the disability helpline on 0800 882200 and they may be able to point you in the right direction.0 -
thank you so much, will do this when I get back from the school run.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0

Just rang this number and a very helpful lady said she would send out the forms for me. As explained she said "It is always worth a try".
Oh, no school run for me, my dad just rang to say he would get the kids for me.:A Tomorrow's just another day - keep smiling0 -
Presumably the lady on the phone was talking about Carers Allowance which you can claim if you are caring for someone in receipt of middle or high rate DLA (and earning under £100 after deductions).0

When you say in the thread title '3rd child now getting DLA' do you mean your 3rd eldest child is getting DLA, or do you now get DLA for 3 children?0
