The only problem with sky+ is...

...if you are recording 2 shows and you accidently leave the tv on a 3rd channel then it's gonna complain (pop up the message) isn't it? I'm not sure, what it would do, just randomly cancel one recording?

I wish it was clever enough to auto-switch the tuner to one of the recorded channels, which is how one should have left it anyway.

Other than that, the sky+ software is one of the most user-friendly I have ever encountered.

  • The recordings take precedence and the channel will be changed to record both, unless of course you manually delete one.

    That's exactly what it does.
  • The box should autoswitch to one of the channels being recorded if you ignore the onscreen message. If you are not watching the box there is absolutely no need to leave it switched on to one of the channels to be recorded and is best left in standby to handle everything automatically.

IMHO the Humax PVR software is the best on the market at present.

    Oh phew, great!:o

So when my panic stricken DW and DD say "come down there's a message on the screen saying which should we cancel" I should simply say "just leave it, it'll sort itself out?".:D

EDIT - sorry think Mr Murgatroyd just said this is the case.
