Well if you don't want a landline, then you'll have to opt for VM cable, as you won't be able to get ADSL broadband any other way.
Depends if there is already an active phone line at the property, as the majority of providers want a minimum 12m contract. No free lunch, and no free laptop

pretty sure there is a BT socket in the house,so im just going to have to phone them and see?.....as you say otherwise VM cable, they may consider 6 months?... better than NO months?!!!!0

You need an active BT line, otherwise you will have to pay a reconnection fee to your chosen provider. Pretty sure VM minimum contract is 12m. Some smaller ADSL providers will do you rolling 30 day contracts, but for line rental you'll probably need to pay 12m-the Post Office may be the exception. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Both line rental and broadband available at IDNet on a 30 day contract, excellent company as well.:)0

that may be ok?.....but only if phone line active?......other wise a non starter?!!!....0

As you've already been advised, VM cable is the only non-ADSL option.
If you're only staying 6m, no-one is going to offer you free or subsidised reconnection, because they will be billed c. £120 by BT OR for doing it. They can't earn that back from you in 6m. So unless you are prepared to pay a full price reconnection charge or take a 12m line rental contract, your options are more limited. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Virgin is by far the best. Very well priced and always reliable
Good value for money... Sky has many hidden costs and I've heard numerous horror stories and the terrible customer service and being overcharged from BT. Been with Virgin for over 6 months and v impressed

Well priced? VM's telephony is the most expensive in the UK.
And that irritating way of starting you on a new 12m contract if you as much as change your package by a fraction is not my idea of good service...No free lunch, and no free laptop

I have to say i like VM,well there fast broadband and decent TV service seem good to me!!!,infact when ive been over to my parents place who have sky, there sky+ boxes seem so out dated!!!,which only 10 years or so ago were the bee's nuts!!!,with virgin i like the fact you can watch anything you have missed over the last 7 days,if you forgot to record!!!.
just hope a 12 month contract can be moved from one place to another?..0
