Play.com are useless! Don't bother with them

ive never had a problem with play, regularly order from them, sometimes mew, but more recently mostly off playtrade, and one trader in particular. as i said, never had a problem with them or any order and believe me, since setting up account with them years ago ive ordered A LOT lol xxx

Returning items to Play is very difficult these days - they seem to make it deliberately so. They say they refund postage on returned items, but do a quick google and see - they very often do not and it takes a long time to get a refund if you can be bothered to fight them over it.

I would never, ever buy electrical items from Play now. They keep stuff for ages and repair it (as they are entitled to do), so do not expect an immediate refund or replacement. Rather expect a six week wait.

I will order from Play occasionally, but only cheap things, never expensive or electrical. It's really not worth it these days.

I ordered a PS3 last Thursday on 24hr delivery for my sons birthday,it turned up and I even signed for it apparently but haven't seen a sign of it.I've spoke to 5 people at play emailed them god knows how many times and all I get is that they are emailing me a claims form,so where is it.Somebody rang me this morning they sounded like they were from a different planet and I could hardly understand them.But I did catch that they have checked the signature on the delivery note and surprise surprise its not mine and the delivery driver from DPD said he cant remember where he took it ????????????? .But they are sending me a claims form ha watch this space.

as I would get cracked CD cases and they take and age to
send out stuff

I use Amazon now, I had to return DVD less the
£1.24 for returning it (as my DD had bought the same DVD) I received an email telling me they had received the DVD a day later that the money had been put back in to my bank account :j

I've had people tell me that Play.com had gone down hill, but made an order regardless, although I've not had the headache some others have had. I must say that they now seem to take their sweet time delivering goods. I ordered a DVD that was 24 hour dispatch and didn't get until over a week later. I'm going to probably use HMV from now on as I can also collect pure points with them.

They refunded the 2 calendars I ordered for Christmas that never appeared so all good there, but I have noticed a marked difference in delivery, which in fairness could be a local post problem.

DD ordered 2 items, a necklace and a T Shirt. Both marked as dispatched on the same day. Necklace arrived within 4 days, T Shirt however took over 2 weeks.

My other gripe is the new style of packaging which wraps a tiny T Shirt in a ruddy great box rather than the old mailing bags.

I used them for Christmas presents, and no problem with any of the stuff or the service.

Some parcels were a little delayed because of the weather, but can't blame Play for that.
