I have to admit that I wouldn't fancy an eight hour flight either Doomy but don't mind short haul- I am not very brave either.

forgot to mention every time i go away some disaster happens...

    example: Michael Jackon dieing
london terror attacks v1 (year before)
    london terror attacks v2 (7/7)
    start of the balkans war...

    plus a.n.other probably

im even talking like a 30min flight from edinburgh to london.

i know it wont happen (probably), and planes dont fall out the sky, but terrorists can / do blow holes in the bottom of them...

scaredy: doc said they cant do anything, just give some sedatives but no guarantee they would work and i wouldnt flip out
edit: not that i'd flip out, just panic like a panicydrawers... i mean wuss

Doomcow I think we all have what other people would consider to be irrational fears - it's just a matter of degree maybe. So please get some professional help - they deal with problems like yours all the time. Honest.

try finding a cbt counsellor, then doomy, they can help with panic attacks.

look for a BACP accreditted counsellor, they will have had training to a certain min standard.
