OK, my turn to ask a daft question or at least one that may have already been asked.
I started my blogs on blogspot 2 years ago. So far £1.87(!) in adsense from 10 blogs but I haven't had the time to give to them that I'd like.
This year I want to really to push them and make money from them - my real headache has been who to go with - I keep changing my mind from blogger to Typepad to Wordpress then finally I thought I'd decided to have my own hosting with a blank page but now I keep coming back to Wordpress.
One question is the Wordpress site seems to suggest I can only have one blog. Is that right and what do people think about Wordpress v the others for making money?
Sorry if it's been covered at length here but this decision of who to go with is driving me mad!

I thought you couldn't have advertising on Wordpress unless you hosted it yourself? If you host it youself, you can have more than one wordpress blog - I have 3.0

Personally I'm blogging because it's fun and anything else I get from it is just a bonus!0

I've started a blog this year which i guess i could monetise eventually, but it's more about motivation for me to stick with the project really. I don't want to put readers off by having ads in case they think it's tacky. Not that i have many readers right now! lol!Sarah.

I kept coming back to WordPress and now have many on this platform. I like it because it starts with about 75% SEOing done for you and to get them fully SEOed is relatively simple. There are many plugins that target specific problems you may have and are actually loved by the big 'G;.
Self hosted WordPress is the way to go as I see it. Just my two pence worth...Cheers.:T0 -
I took in just over £1000 in december. Im happy! Already had a £14k offer for the site...
Wordpress is deffo the way to go. Make sure you get "all in on seo pack". This helps tremendously!0 -
Hello all-my first post on this forum. I have a blog at the moment. I write about my two children and link up with other mums. I was thinking I could start a new blog which is less personal but focuses on different activities to do with young kids. The majority of the blogs I read on this topic, although helpful are from a middle class, highly religious, homeschooling American point of view. Where as I want to make my blog a bit more down to earth and suited to everyone.
Have no idea how to get people reading it as the mums I link up with currently on blogger seem to have established blogs which gain regular readership and only pop in on mine to say stuff like 'hi -looks like you had fun' once in a while!0 -
