Hi,
I would like to buy a quad band phone to take away with me when I visit the States next month. It doesn't have to be an 'all bells and whistles' model but rather something that is simple to operate which would suit me fine.
I am not technically minded but doing a little research it looks like I will need something that says GPS 850/900/1800/1900.
If someone could just confirm that this is what I need, it might make me look a little more savvy when I go shopping for the required model.
I have already enquired about the Vodafone 543, which incidentally has the specification mentioned above, but the guy on the online chat line said that model is not quadband hence my asking for further info on this site. Thank you in advance - Sally

You are right...
Quadband should read on thx box as GSM 850/900/1800/19000
