WHY was my thread about NUYUU going into liquidation removed???

Could anyone explain why my lengthy thread regarding NUYUU Gym going into liquidation has been deleted? What happened to freedom of speech?

I gave my opinion on their shoddy gym and the fact that they are portraying the incident as a happy little merger when the reality is they have gone into liquidation...

I can only assume that my post was deleted for one of two reasons

1. I am wrong...... well am I? Is the aircon now fixed? Has the front glass been fixed? Has the Vibrogyms been replaced since yesterday? Have they stopped offering all in membership when they cant fulfil that offer? Hmmmmmm dont think I am wrong

2. Someone has got their gym shorts in a twist and does not like me publically revealing MINE and many many others dissatisfaction....

Quite rude of MSE to just delete without explaination, so I look forward to a reason... as all it has done is fuel the fire

Their md replied on the thread which is against forum rules so it looks like the whole thread was deleted instead of just his post, usual ott response. It may be re-instated later though.

Read the rules...MSE do not have to give a reason. 100's of posts/threads are removed/closed daily...particularly on a Monday after the weekend. Contact 'abuse' and you may be given a reason.
  • Well I think thats disgraceful.

Over time I have put many helpful posts for the benefit of users and last night I spent 30 minutes of my time because I did not and do not want to see fellow members waste their money. I hope the removal of the thread was a mistake and that it will be reinstated asap so that every one has the opportunity to read it.

Thank you Molerat, any chance you could tell me what was said as I cannot find a cached version.... funny how the MD spends more time trawling the web to reply in messages to people complaining rather than doing his real job. So so many issues that require more than a keyboard and a user name.

Perhaps the MD would like to get permission to post and then come back on and we can try again?
  • Thankyou Gordkin, Molerat has explained why it was removed. I did not write anything untrue or abusive so there was no reason on my part for it to be removed.

People have the right to know that they have gone into liquidation (fact not opinion) and that they were up till last night offering a membership for services they CANNOT provide (fact) and that facilities are poor (can be photographed if MSE likes to prove)

Point is the liquidation may be fact but the rest is subjective and if MSE get someone threatening them with a law suit then they have every right to protect themself.
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!
  • Well the post was in no way libelous as most of it was fact and I will quite happily photograph and prove the various points I made. I also have the right to express an opinion surely. What I wrote was non malicious but written for the benefit of the consumer....

Its funny because if we took that attitude there wouldnt be one VENT or WARNING thread on this site ??

Have you read the 'rules' you signed up to? Posts/threads are removed/locked all the time..it's no big deal really...it's not important.
  • Sorry Gordkin but it is important... I would like to express my praise, vent or warning in this section... that is what its for

Thank you Molerat.. unfortunatley the problem lies with a serious lack of communication. The staff are unsure what the situation is and no one is ever able to give you a straight answer. Your promised month after month that things will change but they dont. I originally joined the gym on the premise that the front window would be glazed in those coming weeks and I knew that I would never want to use the free weights in view of half the town.... this was promised in February and I have never been able to use the free weights...

Crazy things like missing toilet seats.. damp eating into the walls, lights out and showers in horrendous condition does not make a gym member happy. To come in suddenly one day and find your main piece of equipment that you use.. missing is not good. Nothing online, no email sent out, no letters sent...

We then find out about a so called merger with a company that are even more no frills than the last compny that claim not to have half the things many of us have signed into a contract for??

Again no explanation... just a one liner on the website...

No it's not important, having a loved one with a serious illness is important. eg my mother who has had a heart attack and also a liver abscess/infection and is struggling to survive is important IMHO!
