i downloaded the screensaver from the Acez website (before i saw the post warning about it's reputation).

My computer started running really slowly,so i uninstalled the screensaver but my computer is still going really slow !

I'm really panicking. Can i do anything about it?

When the screensaver installed it may have installed other things, did you read any licence etc or just accepted without looking.

You should always glance down the licence to see what you are giving your permission for it to do.

I have just run this in a sandbox, you have given it permission to install RelevantKnowledge software !!!

NOTE Above picture link will disappear around 20th November 2010.

You may have given permission to install Delio toolbar and weather channel desktop, assuming that you clicked accept on everything that was put on your screen.

You need to look in the add/remove programs for these programs and uninstall them.

    Download and run for safety

    Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
    and superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE

After installing, get them to check for updates, and get them to do a full scan.

The software is nothing but annoying, it's easy enough to remove

Add / Remove programs - relevant knowledge and toolbars

My fault about the original post sorry, wasn't really looking that much

My PC is still 100% safe after removal (no virus guard) :D

  • I've got Norton 360 and have done a scan and there seems to be no problem. Computer running pretty much normally.

I looked my list of programs and there's about 10 programs i've never put on my computer, Chicken Invaders 2, Dairy Dash etc etc .

Not sure if that's something to do with it as well, but i'll probably just uninstall them too.

    No problem lil306 :)

Nop, they sound more like programs installed with Windows Vista / Windows 7

They're usually all made by a company called Oberon Media who did actually make one good game called Alien Shooter :D
