Hi
We are booked to stay in the Travelodge York Central for 2 nights 28/29 Oct.
Got plenty of activities lined up for during the day (thanks to this site) but unsure of anything to do in the evening......
Got 2 kids aged 4 and 6 so looking at "something" to do between the 6-9pm times as dont really want to be stuck in the hotel room watching tv.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated ......:)

If you do have a car, check out creepy crawlies at clifton moor, indoor play area that's open late definitely on Friday, not sure about Thursday.
Also if the weather is ok, there is a festival of light on. It's at illuminatingyork.org. They basically light up the minster and a couple of other places, it's quite a nice walk with kids on an evening. We live in Y ork and I am sure there is more, but can't think at the moment! Will post more if I can.
How old are the kids by the way?0 -

Cinema? We took our two to a great little independent one in York on a weekend away when they were roughly the age as yours. Huuuuge comfy seats, massive legroom, best cinema I've ever been to. Nice and central, next to the river IIRC.

Thanks for your replies everyone.
No we wont have a car, travelling by train. Cinema sounds like a good option - i will check it out.
Kids are 4 and 6 - ghost walk is definately out as the eldest is frightened of her own shadow lol
Have looked at the festival of light - thanks for the heads up about this. Fingers crossed the weather is good0 -
Agree on the cinema, one of the few independent screens left and very good!
Wetherspoons downstairs in the hotel is very kid friendly so you can go there for meals.0 -
