Passat or Freelander

Go for the passat, unless you really need a 4x4 for a reason, then for the love of <insert diety of choice here> don't get a freelander.
Build quality is rubbish and hasn't progressed from the 70's that much. I have seen them leak like a sieve when wading in water up to the doors. Transfer box is notorious for problems and expensive to get repaired. Gearbox is noted as not the best in the book. The petrol engined model has a healthy appetite for head gaskets. The TD4 diesel is ok, but have seen them munch turbos, suffer oil fed runaway and grenade the engine - not a pretty sight.
PsiNear a tree by a river, there's a hole in the ground.

I think if you fold the seats down in the Passat it might might be more comfortable for your wife to try for a baby, the Freelander might be ok if you like odd positions.
My suggestion would be to get a bed then a car..........
Proper belly laugh! :rotfl:
That's the hardest I've laughed all day - bravo! :TEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
