Wages in from the pub of £112 but I'm only paying £50 to the CC :o Feels weird to not pay it all but I do need to be careful after spending out so much at the beginning of the month,

Hoping to finally get back £150 that a friend owes me today. He has owed it to me since September so I'm hoping we're finally done with it, can't say I've been too impressed.

Thanks MrsB :) It is far too long, it's such a shame really. He was a good friend but this has definitely strained things. I lent it to him to pay for a Uni course and it was supposed to be repaid the next month. He had just been made redundant and I thought it was such a shame for him to miss the course because of that, when it wasn't his fault.

However, since then he has made no effort to get another job and I have slowly discovered the huge number of our group of friends he owes money to and that he hasn't been paying the rent to a friend he rents a room from. He's been lying to all of us :(

I tried to talk to him a few times now as I understand money problems (obviously!) and said if he was struggling then we could sort something out, say £5 a week. So long as I was getting something back. That was in February. He insisted he could pay it all and that was fine. He then stopped answering his phone to me and other people, didn't pay anyone back, and then hired a venue for his birthday costing £350!

I've had to be constantly on his case and I don't like that but can't see any other way. One girl who he owes money to has said she'll write it off as she's fairly well paid, so the £500 he owes her is not too bad to her. I can't afford to do that though. Hate it as I feel guilty asking for it, but then keep trying to remind myself that I worked hard for that money and that he shouldn't be lying to me. What a mess :(

Sorry, that was a massive whinge :o

Wow, you deserve a little whinge.

Don't feel guilty at all - you offered him a reasonable payment plan and he refused! Head in the sand gets you nowhere (as we all know!).

It's sad that he's pushing everyone away and if he's not careful he'll end up with no friends as well as no money :(

We definitely know! Silly thing is as well, he knows about my debts, so should feel happy approaching me about these things if you know what I mean.

That's what I'm worried about - I think that the fact I know about debts is making me more understanding but with our other friends this isn't necessarily the case :(

Oh well, let's hope things right themselves in the end :)

The money I'm owed did not appear and once again he is not answering his phone  Don't know what else I can do than keep trying to phone him. I'm so disappointed in him.

£25 to the CC today :)

Working during the day tomorrow and then round a friend's for dinner which should be nice. Then on Sunday me and my brother are cooking dinner for my Mum, I am in charge of making banoffee pie, hope it goes ok, never done it before! Looks simple though :) (Famous last words!)

Other than that it's going to be working on craft fair stuff in any spare minutes I get, oh and free listings on Ebay so going to aim for 10 of those too :)
