Had a day off yesterday to get to one of my cleaning jobs plus catch up with some bits of my own before working in the evening.

Going to be a bit of a hectic week - work again tonight, cleaning Wednesday, work do Thurs, Fri night pub again, pub Saturday day, a wedding reception to go to in the evening, and a possible pub shift for Sunday. Then teeth out Monday - will need that week off sick more than ever I think

For once I'm actually glad of having an excessively busy week - gives me less time to worry about having my teeth out!

I had a wisdom tooth out not long ago - just got numbed not put out. TBH it was over pretty quickly although it did continue to bleed for a couple of hours but really its not too bad (& I'm the biggest coward ever!).

Oh stay away from the horror stories. My OH has a lot of dental work to get done soon and he has been reading stuff online as well. I have had to bar him from reading them lol as he is making himself ill worrying.

I'm having a GA - think that's what's worrying me more, I've never had one before so don't really know what it will be like.

Pain wise after - I keep reminding myself that I have had 35 hours of tattooing, been bitten by a cheetah and had a kilt pin lodged in my foot, surely the pain can't be as bad as those!?

I sent OH an email about it and he phoned me to tell me to stay off the stories too! Bet he's not looking forward to it, he's coming with me on the day and I'm going to be a total nightmare

I can help with one aspect of it Beccie. I had some teeth taken out via general anaesthetic about 15 years ago. The worst part for me was the anaesthetic going in, but even that wasn't too bad at all. It just stung a bit. I then woke up in a different room and it was all over and done with. I got the shakes afterwards (normal) and had some pain but it's just a dull ache and they give you painkillers for afterwards. I know mine were just normal teeth, but don't worry about the anaesthetic part, because it's honestly not that bad. I would rather have that done than be awake.

I definitely think that being knocked out is better even though I'm scared. I had some normal teeth taken out under local also about 15 years ago and I said never again! They were supposed to be 'easy' to get out, there didn't feel like there was anything easy about it!
