Best broadband and phone is best?

Hi All

I have been an Aohell customer for far too long and have decided i want to move my custom elsewhere. I am looking for the best internet and phone deal but am totally confused by it all. I wanted to go to O2 but i am apparently outside their area, anyone have any advice about which is the best deal and best company please.

In general the two best deals are O2 and Sky LLU products. Check with http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php to see if you can get Sky LLU. If you are in a Virgin Media cable area that works well for me and should be considered.

If not then I personally would give the other LLU operators a miss and look at the likes of Plusnet Newnet Idnet or Zen - they may not be the cheapest but they are all well regarded.

Cheap phone and broadband is cheap because corners are cut with customer service and available bandwidth per customer. A good rule of thumb is if they advertise on TV look elsewhere because in the main big equates to poor service although that is not cast in stone.

Agreed, Sky or another LLU ISP if available, if no LLU then Plusnet is worth looking at-but will depend on your usage requirements, which you don't state.
Plusnet prices will depend on your exchange status, if you post the samknows info then more advice can be given.

I too am looking to change ISP from Madasafish who currently charge £14.99 for 5GB. 10GB would be ample for me and I see from the main site that Plusnet are a good deal and that I can avoid setup charge of £25 if I have a BT line, which I do at the moment. However I am thinking of changing from BT to Primus, again as per main site. If I keep BT until I have switched to Plusnet and then change to Primus, will I lose the Plusnet internet connection or will they charge me a connection fee or neither?
  • You can't beat Talktalk for quality of service.

You can have Primus and Plusnet, because Primus is a non-LLU service and runs on the BT network.
