  • Morning all!!
Vanilla-thats awful, your poor DD. Sending you a big hug.

Not much flying done here over the past couple of days. I have kept up with the washing up, keeping the kitchen surfaces wiped and have done 3 loads of washing, but walked to shop yesterday and then went to a bigger town to a large boots to take advantage of the extra points on a £50 spend. Got 9 gifts all on the 3 for 2 and 3 bottle of John Frieda frizz stuff which was also 3 for 2 so felt quite chuffed with myself. Will have a couple of gifts yet to get but nearly done all my christmas shopping now. DD just about sorted to go to granny's at 11. I'm working a late today and early tomorrow so it makes sense for her to stay. Might get a bit of flying done after shes gone but will also need to eat before work at 12 so we'll see.

  • Shamefaced can't-really-call-myself-a-flylady here.

Today I have to dismantle upstairs as the girls are moving rooms and we are getting the floor stripped.

Any ideas what to do with a 1920s oilcloth/lino?

vanilla this is assault, and I would give the head the chance to fix it with the promise that if s/he doesn't then you will 1. go to the police and 2. go to the local press with the story. That should fix it. People get excluded for less in my (state, comprehensive) school. Hugs.

I dont think i would be giving the head a chance to sort it, they had the chance on friday by bringing it to vanilla's attention but they didnt do that. I would be going straight to the police and reporting it as assult and also going to the school board or whomever the head reports into (dont have kids so dont know so apologies for my ignorance here)

if that doesnt sort it out, i would be going to the press and taking legal action against the school as they are in loco parentis and they have a duty of care and are failing in that by allowing a girl to have her life threatened, be assulted on school grounds and not bring it to her mum's attention.

vanilla, if a man came up to you in the street and said im going to kill you, then came up to you later in the day and picked up you and went to throw you over something, you would be reporting it to the police so why is it any different just because its children and it happened in school?

    good luck with everything
