Orange cancellation and biling cycle

I have 2 contract handsets with Orange, both billed on the same account and one of them is due to end on the 20th of this month (this wednesday). I have already given the required notice of cancellation on this and have a letter of acknowledgment from Orange regarding this.
The bills for the account are produced on the 17th of every month, so today I logged on to online billing expecting there to be a charge for the soon-to-be-cancelled phone for the 3 days service it has left. However, they have billed it for another full month (up to 16th November).
Is it normally the case that they will bill for a full month, then apply a credit for the cancelled period on the next billing period? If so I don't mind paying this as the refund will cover the price of my remaining handset for next month.
Or have they smply made an error with the billing?

I'd say that they would refund you after the 3 days are up. But it might be worth giving the billing team a call just to be sure...0

Ah, OK. Hopefully they will refund it but I will maybe give them a ring after it expires just to make sure.0
