Orange - pay monthly sim - cooling off period?

Just wondered if anyone could help - a friend of mine went in to orange and agreed to one of their pay monthly sim only deals - she gave them her PAC code, but not her bank account details (she was bringing them in today)
Yesterday afternoon, when she popped round, I told her about the tesco deal - more mins, same unlimited texts, internet usage, for the same price.
She went back to orange today to explain she no longer wanted the orange sim, but they said they had no cooling off period.... Is this right??? - like she said they dont have her bank account details, only her PAC number....
Any advice much appreciated
Thanks

If she signed a contract instore then she is bound by those terms..
There is ( and never has been ) no "cooling off period" for transactions in shops in UK law.====0 -
Cooling off only aplies to distance selling: i.e. purchase over the phone or online. I'm afraid she is stuck with it. It doesn't matter what details they have or don't have, she is now in contract with them for the minimum term and they will hold her to that.No free lunch, and no free laptop

As above, she's now in contract with them. If they don't have her bank info they'll just send her a bill each month (and I think, add £2.50 none dd charge).0

Thank you....
