You may well have had a good time but other's didn't. Please respect their opinion. Personally I returned my ticket when I realised that even going for the last coach home at midnight I would still have missed part of the concert. That was my decision.

People aren't boring for moaning, they have a right to complain in this forum just as much as you have a right to say you had a good night.

BTW the tickets were free because they were unsold. And as for getting your wallet out, it still would have ended late for the people who paid!

BTW please use some punctuation, your posts are extremely difficult to read with the words running into each other. Thank you.

You are not in a position to comment on the concert if you didn't go.

Guns n Roses always end late - the real fans know this:T.

Some people just love to moan about something as we have seen in all your previous posts you never happy with any of your freebies .

People have every right to complain over the late starts to this tour. Not everybody will have travelled by car and all public transport ends sooner or later at night. How do you expect people to get home? Walk? Even the Arena staff have to get home and I'm very sure that their wages aren't so high that they can afford to take taxis. Maybe they should ask Axl to pay. It isn't part of the experience, it is sheer arrogance and disrespect.

I'd be surprised if Axl has made any money out of this tour..... at the O2 level 4 was curtained off, that's a hell of a lot of seats, level 1 was full of gaps and we arrived early and joined a queue of 30-40 people deep for SFF tickets and many more joined after us, so a big quota of level 1 were free seats. I don't think standing was at capacity either.

TBH just very much doubt he gives a damn, as you say sheer arrogance and disrespect....probably be his last arena tour though.

I had a brilliant time but even living in London I had to leave early - it would have cost £17.50 just to park at the O2 with petrol on top so I had to go by train and leave before the end - coming on stage late is one thing but coming out and playing well past the last London tube home is quite another when the O2 is stuck right out on the far side of London! If I'd have paid for my ticket I'd have been even more annoyed. I'm surprised the venue let them do this as other more Central London venues would have had a strict curfew time.. the staff were also unhappy there as we spoke to them as we left as we wanted to get a ticket to keep and they had to hand them back out after.

I don't think the venue really had much control over it, he booked, the arena was full of people, what could they do apart wait for him to turn up!! The night I was there we were speaking to some security staff and every now and then there was waves of people, cheering, booing, calling etc hoping to get Axl to get a move on.......the security said to us, they are wasting their time, he is not even here yet!!

The security passed us at just before 10pm and said he's just arrived and he came on about 10-15 mins later.

I had a good night, I was prepared for them to be late and once on stage I thought they were good, but we picked up our tickets then went for dinner, so our wait didn't seem too long, we too had to leave before the end to catch the last tube, I would of been really p'd off I'd paid, but as it was a freebie, I put it down to experience.

I wonder what will come up next!!! Hoping for JLS or Lady Gaga for the kids.......I'll be lucky their all sold out already!! :rotfl: Maybe Simply Red then, they've got quite a few dates!!

Other venues though would have cut them short probably, if more in Central London. Still it was good for those who stayed as was a long set and he sounded excellent. (I used to love Sebastian Bach too so that was a bonus beforehand).

I'm hoping for more rock gigs, though wish I'd applied for Rod Stewart actually when they came up, just wasn't sure I'd find a friend to go and see him!!!

If they had cut them short, he would of still turned up late and those who could or were prepared to pay taxi's etc would of missed out. If you are not too far out from London there are always night buses.

Rod Stewart was actually really good, I took my mum as she was always a fan but didn't know if I'd enjoy it that much, but we had a great night. He was very punctual he came on dead on time, said he would be on for 2 hours with a 15 minute interval and finish at 10pm, and dead on he did!! The arena was pretty full, I don't think there were that many free tickets and we were seated up in level 4 so he looked like an ant running around on stage.....thank god for the screens!! lol

I got tickets for Bon Jovi as well, that was my best freebie, really enjoyed that night.

    True..
Rod Stewart sounded very organised and puncutal, I like that!!
Bon Jovi sounded brilliant too - haven't seen them since Donington many years ago.

Think it's great these tickets get given out anyway as these sorts of prices are out of my grasp usually :j

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that some of the artists get brave and face the cold up north :)

So do I, couldn't afford it otherwise......first time I used them I expected to get laughed back out of the O2 with my print out! When I got the tickets I had a grin like a cheshire cat that I just could wipe off!!

Guess I am lucky to live in London!
What other venues have they given out tickets for in the past? I've seen the ones they did for GNR but have they done it for any other venues?

Me and my mate were the same, all nervous with our bit of paper but grinning madly once we had the tickets in our hands :D Best freebie I think I've had!
