OMG I am fuming. Miss M has an appointment RIGHT NOW for her booster shot. I made the appointment and explained that it has to be this morning because we have stuff to do this afternoon. We arrived and they told us we have to go and get the vaccine ourselves. But we need a prescription, which we have to pick up from the chemist (who needs to order it in; he doesn't stock it) at the time of the appointment. They couldn't let us know that when we made the appointment ... why? And they couldn't give us the prescription when we made the appointment ... why? And Husband has just re-made the appointment for Wednesday, which is entirely useless because the beastie and I are out for the day so I have sent him off to re-make it. Which means that there is a dose of Calpol burbling around her system for nothing and I have planned our day very carefully around an appointment that isn't happening.
I f'n hate this system.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning all
Thanks for wallet wishes - found eventually in the footwell of the car, checked last night but it was too dark and I missed it. Huge sigh of relief, 4 credit cards, debit card, heavily loaded Sainsburys gift card, Nectar card, hundred quid of vouchers, etc.
Glam!! Hope you are ok, I miss you doubly now because there's quite a bit of FB chat right now so you are absent in two places!it is very hard. Keep coming by to give us updates!
ETA you cross-posted - hope things can be on the up now you're getting assistance, and all the more reason to stay in touch here... hope OH is being supportive?
Mel, that is an awful night and I hope you get some rest today somehow, and it also gives me shudders as I can look forward to it imminently too
Last night E was up every 10-20 minutes from 4.45 onwards, and once at 2am as well, and OH is having a lot of trouble sleeping between heartburn, bladder, pain of rolling over, lack of usable sleeping positions etc, so twas a pretty poor night but you are having it even worse! I shall at least endeavour to avoid falling out with OH
Congratulations to those of you with heavily-sleeping little ones last night
Long long weekend for me... feeling like I'm back at work for a rest at the mo. Between terrible nights' sleep the last few days (teething E and pregnant lady), and driving places both days and getting somewhat lost both daysfor no good reason, neither route was complicated... On Sat we went to big Mothercare and spent two hundred quid  (OH: "we don't need to spend much this time round as we have so much from Elijah that we can re-use"...), admittedly including new shoes for E with the lights in the heels...
On Sunday we went to a second birthday party - the birthday girl has a 3 yr old and 3 month old pair of brothers, and the hostess had invited a stack of people expecting that a lot wouldn't come as it was a Sunday afternoon and they're in the sticks, but nearly everyone came and their house was a seething maelstrom of insanity and screams. There were about 25 children between 0-4 years old I think, giant stacks of toys, infinite parents, tables covered in glitter and butterflies, toddler-high mounds of cupcakes...
Elijah was utterly terrified initially - we have done very few events like that before! - and would do nothing but cling to my neck. We stood in the kitchen and as children-levels ebbed we coaxed him into covering a butterfly with glue and glitterafter that he coped OK but he was a very 'serious observer' most of the time rather than a screaming mad participant.
Enough rambling, work time. Have a nice day everyone0 -
*hugs* Glam...glad you are happy with how the appointment went and hope the meds are helpful. I hope the doctor told you to slow down and de-stress a bit, too. Let us know how Jack is doing lately!
I've always been curious, are the meds they give for PPD similar/same to regular anti-d's or are they different? Since PPD is presumably more influenced by hormones...
SS, sorry the Germans are such numpties...top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Morning everyone.
Glam - sending hugs. I hope the anti-d's help you feel better.
Mel - more hugs, that does sounds like a rubbish night.
Bruno - I'm so glad you found your wallet.
Ladybird - hurrah for Quidco money. I agree with Becles though, I personally find EA Active better than Wiifit (and I understand that if you google, there are a few other good fitness games out now)
Som - yep, you're officially crazy
Tia - hurrah for a sleeping Amber, but grr for pre-5am antics!
Always - hurray for good nights' sleep and a productive weekend!
SS - That really does sound like a mad system and why couldn't they have told you that in advance - grr.
Well, I'm in chaos here this morning. Yesterday, DH emptied the loft, now I'm surrounded by boxes and toys that are too young for A, but too old for F, and other junk.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Bruno - TBH OH and I were on the verge of splitting up last week, I think BIL being there really took its toll but we've talked a lot and he is being more supportive but I think he's finding it hard going from doing nothing to helping so much!
Aless - yes they are the same. Apparently PND is biochemical, he was going to give me Citalopram which is what I had when I first got my OCD 6 years ago but he decided on Fluoextine instead. Both are used for normal depression as well.
I will try and be on more because it does help to talk.:)
J is a terror, we have proper tantrums off him now which is a PITA! From when he wakes until he goes to bed he's running around the house, throwing his toys, standing on his ride on car () or climbing on the coffee table! He's a handful!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

Gosh, is he approaching the Terrible 2's a bit early then!
Either my brain lost it or I skimmed past it one day - how's the job situation? Didn't you have an interview somewhere? Sorry if I missed it.
Ah, interesting to know they are the same drugs. Just curious, really, no other reason. I meant PND, of course - PPD is what they call it in the USA...
Oh and I forgot to agree with Becles earlier about Wii Fit/EA Active. But I think Ladybird means she needs to buy the Wii Fit equipment (balance board) more than the programme itself...Wii Fit (the programme) is for extreme beginners and not much beyond that. I have liked EA Active Personal Trainer, which if set on high intensity can really work up a sweat! I also recommend More Workouts as it seems more cardio-focused and a bit more interesting activities.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

ww glam. you've has a rough time of it. glad your OH has started to help more.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Has anyone came across a cheaper verson of this?
SS, that sucks! I thought the Germans were supposed to be all super efficient? What booster is it? Are they due one at this age?
Glam, PND is just biochemical and it's not anyones fault. Do keep talking about it, it does help. You should totally join facebook where we can talk uncensored (and unstalked).0 -
Glam - I'm pleased he's helping - tbh, although I sometimes moan about mine, I don't know how I would manage without DH - he does do quite a bit now (he's slowly getting trained
).
Bruno - I meant to say that I don't blame E for being a bit overwhelmed by that party - I think I would have been too!Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Tia - that's seriously nice, I want one!
