This could go on all night.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Miss Amber is getting very... strong minded...
DH, BIL and FIL are in the loft and I wish they would all go now so I can get her to bed and actually get to see my husband. :mad:0 -
kian has his onw way of telling me what he wants. he gets me to pick him up, then he holds his arm out in the direction of where he wants to go. we have just been to the kitchen, where he wanted the fridge open and then lifted a pot of fruit puree of the shelf on the door, he's just polished it off. he had 2 fish fingers and 3 carrot and potato waffles for his tea and a big lunch today'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

at home we had a toilet seat from argos with a kids fold down smaller seat, and out and about we had a plastic fold out seat topper thing called a toodleloo if I remember rightly, my son used it for a while, then I started letting him be in charge of it, once the novelty wore off he realised it was a lot of flaff and easier to go without it, we also 'forgot' to put the kid bit down at home a few times.. that, combined with a 'get rid of all the littlely stuff to make room for big grown up cool stuff' seemed to encourage my son.. he still likes a potty in the night though as he can't navigate to the bathroom and loo while 80% asleep lol0

kian was very happy that i let him touch the keys. i'm usually moving his hand away lol!!'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

My daughter was the same, younger than yours but still old enough to be using the 'big seat'. She will get there in the end
How does she manage at school/at friends houses?
I can't remember specifically how we stopped using one, but there were times when she's be on a big seat with me in front of her to stop her wobbling, then I may have to just 'quickly do something' in the bathroom which meant her having no support from me on the loo. I'd let it slip by a few times without saying anything, but then i'd make a fuss how she'd been sat there without me and didn't fall in!
Does you daughter have a foot step thingy when using the loo? If her feet were supported that may help her feel more secure?0 -
Actually that reminds me - does anyone know if dogs have deciduous teeth. ('Cause I don't know that either.)
They're like humans with a set of baby teeth, then a set of adult teeth. If they lose the adult teeth, they don't grow any more. They fall out when they are about six months old.
Jack lost a tooth when he was play fighting with me. He grabbed hold of my cardigan sleeve and the tooth was left sticking out off the wool - yuk!
I didn't keep it though. Teeth give me the creeps. The tooth fairy only collects teeth in envelopes in our house, as I can't bear to touch themDo you think it would be terrible of me to ask family members to gift money rathr than presents for christmas towards the pony?
I don't think it's terrible if people ask for suggestions. I've done the same with my boys this year as we're getting them laptops so various family members have chipped in towards them.
DS2 is feeling hard done by due to me making him put his school bag away. He now has a cardboard box and his quilt and saying he's running away.
AwwwwwAlso, was Charlotte really asking Becles about the thyroid gland?
LOL - no it wasn't her! It was Josh (year 9) doing his biology homework, and James (year 7) was doing science homework and asking about the lunar cycle.
I'm doing chemistry homework with Josh tomorrow as he can't balance chemical equations, so I said I would teach him.Where do people buy wellies or snow boots in small walker sizes? Molly wears a child's size 18, which I think is a 3. Where can I get waterproof boots for her?
Asda are cheap and cheerful for wellies. Not sure what the smallest size it, but you could check online.Just worked out what Amber has been yelling the past few weeks, BOYS!!!! When they act up I shout 'BOYS! Behave/don't/calm down etc' and now my daughter has taken to yelling it at the top of her little lungs. Yelling it right at them too!
:rotfl:
I shout BOYS!! and Charlotte copies me. When they fight and call each other names, she's in the middle saying things like "don't say knob, that's a naughty word" :rotfl:
Been busy and got some typing done. Cleaned all the rubbish out my car and put the seats back to normal, and fitted the new windscreen wipers.
Just off to put highlights in James hair. I've never done highlights before so I hope it works. If not, we have a set of clippers and I can shave it shortHere I go again on my own....0 -
Two things have cheered me up today. Firstly my VBF is 10 weeks pregnant :j and secondly I came home to a thank you card from the neo-natal babies at the local hospital, for donating 1 litre of breast milk. It gave me a little dust in the eye. They were two women who worked opposing shifts doing civilian stuff at a police station - it was completely ridiculous IMO.
Anyway, I agree with the others - better to keep a friend for emergencies only.
And thank you Aless for saying nice things about my baby
Em, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease pee again for us today. I can't manage a third day of this! SOMEONE MUST GET PREGNANT TO MAKE ME HAPPY AND EXCITED.
See above ^^^^^^^^^^Can I have some advice on behalf of my friend who had a really traumatic birth? She's still feeling really angry about it all, which couple with a lot of other carp she's gone through recently, is causing her a lot of problems. She wants to see her notes and then possibly take it further. I think she would benefit from seeing someone about it too.
Can anyone tell us how to go about doing all of this, starting with seeing her notes? I'd be really grateful
She could phone her hospital too and see if they offer an afterthoughts service. I know I've said it before, but I found it useful to fill in the blanks and set it all straight in my head.I was watching a couple of things on eBay with a starting bid of £5 each, they didn't sell so i emailed and she will sell both for £8.
