Char, you sound 1980's-tastic in a fantastic way!

Well said, Daisy. I'm sure these ranges only sell because of the hype attached to them rather than because anyone likes/needs or wants them.

I think no-one's going to escape the snow, as long as I can wear heels at the weekend and my plane takes off next friday I'll cope.

    Today's outfit:
1960's paisley midi dress (Courtesy of my blogging pal, Helga)
Vintage lace-up boots (Car boot £1)
Kate Moss at Topshop waistcoat (Bought from her first collection)
    Piles of jewellery (India)

Probably I am going to look strange to anyone coming into my ofice but I have put on a pair of black patent slip ons which I have had on shoe trees to stretch them as they were a bit tight. I am hoping to wear them with my DJ to the work night out next month.

Patent is not looked on as workwear for men anywhere I know.

oh i like patent shoes on men, there are a couple of the guys at work who understand good shoes, which gets the nod of approval from me lol
  • Douglas, i have some stretch spray!? That works a treat on stretcing shoes, you spray it on the inside wear thick socks with them for an hour or so then they have stretched:j I think it's made by punch and it has saved many pairs of shoes going to the charity shop.

Wearing jean t-shirt and cardy today

I will have a look for that. They are now wearable but tight. 2 weeks ago they were not even going on with a shoe horn (I do have a high instep.)
