    512/60 = 8.5 minutes

    which is the same as the 512/3600 described above, multiplied by 60

    or, 0.14 hours (as above) x 60

    Even simpler.

    512/60 = the time in minutes as there are 60 seconds in one minute.

    = 8.5

    Well I just asked my 12 year old granddaughter the OP's question and she gave me the answer in about 3 seconds (using a calculator).
