Hi OP Cyberbob is right and most of the other posts are wrong you have no need to worry at all if you are having difficulty proving delivery with go here http://track.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=22700538&mediaId=22700586
And fill out a signature request form there is no charge for this on special delivery parcels and this will provide you with all of the details you will need to defend against a credit card charge back through paypal as they will accept this as proof of sending and delivery.
Once you upload this phone paypal and the money will be put straight back into your account

Yes because they claimed that the seller could have writte the house no. and postcode on them selves. On of my PO's just gives me a receipt and tells us to write the house no. and postcode, so I would lose an unauthorised transaction case.

Paypal WILL accept this as it is a cop, but only with the PO stamp.

The seller is not having to prove DELIVERY.

Your comment saying most posts are wrong just shows how little YOU understand.

For a chargeback, you DO NOT have to show tracking, in fact this does not help at all. You have to prove that you posted an eligible item, posted within seven days to the address given in Paypal. Full stop. The one and only defence is a cop. However bob is right in that the SD manifest showing the details I outlined MAY suffice. A cop WILL.

Oh thanks for that. I assume thats why that seller lost his case. But I imagine that if I ask at my PO they will get arsey about it and accuse me of holding the queue up despite them every time hard selling SD, travel money etc for at least 2 minutes.

So to reiterate. You do not have to prove DELIVERY for a chargeback. So you saying 'sending as well as delivery' is incorrect. You clearly only mention delivery in part of your post, which is what I am referring to.

You have to prove DELIVERY for a INR claim.

You have to prove you adhered to Seller Protection rules for a chargeback. SP means you must post an eligible item within 7 days to the address supplied in the Paypal transaction. Nothing at all to do with delivery.

I thought I would just give you enough rope then post this to defend against a credit card charge back you can submit either proof of postage or in the OPs case as they sent by special delivery proof of delivery either will do.
Think about it proof of delivery means by default you posted the item for it to be delivered.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If the tracking details for the OPs delivery were still online all they would need to do is add the tracking number to the transaction then phone paypal they could verify delivery and the OP would be refunded.
When I answer a question I take into account what the OP has posted and I do not just answer by quoting what you can do I tell the OP what they can do in their situation.

Hopefully this will stop all the incorrect information on this thread but I doubt it.

Cyberbob, can I ask whereabouts on the Paypal site you got this quote from? I can quote it in yet another e-mail to them then as at the minute they are telling me I need to wait for X, Y and Z reasons!!!!! Surely if at the end of the day I am covered by the seller protection, then I don't really need to wait for anything, especially the resolution of the chargeback, which they gleefully inform me may take up to about 70 days!!

    Thanks. :)
