Sorry, I'm as
as you but I have never been a fan of Sony and their silly memory sticks!

I just tried a google on 13:01 with error memory stick and there are lots of results. Looks like a very common error with various solutions.
I think with some people it is caused by tarnished/dirty contacts so perhaps in your case with one camera it just so happens that the contacts on both camera and card have enough tarnish/dirt to cause the error.
I guess it's a possibility.0 -
What I had to do was put the memory stick in my card reader....
Format (quick option selected)
Run an error check
Format (quick option un-selected)
Put in camera take a few photos then format using camera.
Got back my double sided 512MB doing that0 -

Yes, I had a look in my manual at the solutions and in a google search and have tried them all (apart from taking the camera apart  ).****************************0 -

right click on the card> format..0

your card reader should show up as individual removable drives in My Computer. Just find out which one is for your card and then treat it like any hard drive.0

Just tried that, but still not working in one of them
