I assume the remember me button?
Which browser do you use? I think you may need to change your cookie settings to last a bit longer, although a virus scan etc. may delete your cookies, which means you would have to re-enter your password.0 -

I guess it is happening to me too sometimes.
Tools, Options, Password, Remember Passwords for sites may be helpful in firefox but it will remember all passwords which may not be ideal - so make exceptions for bank accounts, e-mail etc.0 -
Don't login, just click, the 'today's posts' and it'll automatically remember who you are, and you'll find you already logged in..0

It seems to just be the first time you visit the main forum page after you've re-opened IE, Firefox, etc.
Just ignore the fact it shows you as being logged out and go into one of the sub-forums. You should find that you'll then appear logged in and if you go back to the main forum page it will also show you as being logged in.
Obviously there is a site issue somewhere, but there's no need to log in.

Are you clearing your cookies?
I used to let my grandson use my computer and to stop me knowing what he had been looking at on the internet he used to clear the history and cookies and any other tracking stuff he could think off.
Of course this also cleared out my cookies.
Solved that by putting in a separate hard drive for him booting in to.
It's amazing the rubbish a 15 year old boy looks at and if you try and stop him you end up asking him why you can't log on to your own computer.
Now he doesn't look at my stuff and I don't look at his:D.0 -
try using ccleaner to clear out any detritus and then log back in /0
