morning wife
Woke up in a mood - man flu , wisdom tooth hurting, lack of sleep.
Went to the £1 shop and got: -
48 weetbix - £3 (20 a week)
ibuprofen for tooth - £1
5 cereal bars - £1
2 litre bottle of coke - £1.50
that works out at per day now 25p (weetbix) + 20p cereal bar + 30p worth of coke - 75p per day on breakfast
Fags - im actually not feeling the urge (plus just been told its 0.5 c this morning which is enough to make me stay in the warm) its the lack of caffine and sugar that i actually believe i need to ween myself off now over this week!!!
Not in a mood anymore as ive saved lots of money usually i would of done £4.75 within an hour of being in work on fags and expensive food. Might actually go stick the £4 in my natwest account this lunch time0 -
LOL! Anyways just done the main monthly shop, the price cheats a bit as we didn't need nappies. I will update my sig with the spend as we will need to add in the extra bits such as milk and bread etc as we need to buy more:
Shop total - £72.06. So pleased as freezer and cupboard full. Fridge not but it never is as I freeze my fresh meat so it lasts longer. As I shop at Tesco, I also got 5p off every litre of fuel so my £40 monthly petrol cost me £38.30. The £1.70 is in the pot waiting to go into the BS debt fund.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off. Yeah go **Kat** and 'Mr' **Kat**OH** - you are sooooo getting the hang of this money-saving business and I may be wrong but I think you might both be actually enjoying it!
Will look forward to seeing that signature inching slowly but surely towards £600 and will then join you in waving bye bye to the nasty Reserve o/d :T

So bummed, went onto online banking - the loan is higher than I was told on the phone and looked at the terms and conditions and you can't pay lump sums off. Today is a new day, not so bummed about the loan - nothing I can do about it other than go in the same way as the reserve once that's gone. Obv my agreed payments will still go out which will VERY SLOWLY bring it down (gotta love front loaded interest) it will be gone.
Looking forward to our meal tonight but also looking forward to seeing if we can be below budget (£50) and pay the rest in to the reserve fund. I am determined to have a good night though but no drinks as taxis in Cardiff soooooooo expensive (around £20 for a few miles ) and drinking doesn't bother me so gonna drive. One of the car parks is £1 for however long you are in there after 5pm :money:. Also got free cinema tickets which is a Brucie Bonus

Just got in. Had a lovely evening and came back with just over £14 to go into the debt pot. That is a combo of money left from our daily allowance as well as the meal budget but we had coffee first, then meal then cinema (with cinema pick n mix) and we were still under budget. Car park only cost £1 as it's £1 parking after 5pm (I got there at 4.57 and waited at the barrier until 5pm - got some funny looks but it was the difference between what I paid and it costing around £6 if I went in straight away :money:)
Expensive day 2 tomorrow with the lunch. Taking my son who isn't eating much atm, wonder if I can get away with us sharing lunch rather than buying one each.......... we shall see.Loan - [STRIKE]£6991.95[/STRIKE]£6180.01; Barclays Res - [STRIKE]£600[/STRIKE] £0 - £22 per week , NWB Grad O/D - [STRIKE]£1185[/STRIKE] £887.86 18.28% SWALEC - [STRIKE]£700[/STRIKE] £0 NPOWER [STRIKE]£220[/STRIKE] £0 Kays - [STRIKE]£591.28[/STRIKE] £0 TOTAL DEBT - [STRIKE]£10,288.23[/STRIKE] £7,000.01 31.96 % Paid off.
