Thanks LT, had another one yesterday but no such luck today lol. Writing my spends in a diary is making me think twice about what I do spend though so that's always a bonus.

Had a lovely time with the family, always great to see them, had a "Christmas Dinner" but with pork (mmmm). They all loved seeing DS too as they really don't see him as often as they would like so, even though it costs in petrol and bridge (now £5.70!!), DH, DS and I will be going to visit more often.

Yea, it's my mum's family, they live in Minehead so not really that far away but it's the cost of petrol and the bridge which has stopped us in the past from going. We need to though as my grandmother has become very aware of her mortality as the last of her siblings died last month (she was one of five) and is upset my DS doesn't know her as well as she would like.

Us going Sunday was a surprise for her and my grandad (devised between my mum and my auntie) - they loved it!

    WELL!

Just went to Asda to do a mini shop for lunches - card got declined (twice). DH checked online banking following a frantic phone call from me - in credit. Cut a long story short my card was fraudulently used in BANKOK yesterday to withdraw £224 from a cash machine (luckly Barclays declined this). Debit card now cancelled and cut up and have to wait for a new one to be sent .

Want to be greatful Barclays spotted this and declined the transaction or this could have caused mega issues.

Does anyone know how long meat can (really) be kept in the freezer for before it goes bad?

I have meat in there over a month past it's "use by" if in the fridge but I really don't want to waste it by putting it in the bin.

Kat i've got meat which has been in my freezer for 2 years! as long as it's not got freezer burn then it seems to be fine and tastes yummy. I know you're probably not suposed to keep it that long but it's worked for me.
