I bought a phone for my wife in July from mobiles.co.UK and it has been the worst customer experience either of us have ever had from any company. The phone did not work when it arrived, which took us almost 2 weeks to sort out going from the operator to the shop and back again.
But worse than all that we went for a deal with autocashback believing (naively) we would avoid the problems people have with submitting bill throughout there contract. How wrong were we!
Despite hours of calls and numerous emails it has been 4 months and no cashback. I cannot stress strongly enough. No one should ever use them no matter how good the deal looks. You will be disappointed.

I'm also having a problem with mobiles.co.uk - they accepted my order but no phone has turned up - it's looks like the order has been cancelled but I haven't been able to confirm this (though I didn't order cancellation). I have repeatedly tried to get in touch with them to find out if it has been cancelled and if not to now cancel it (as the hassle I've had has not been worth it).
The email address and the enquiry form on their site goes to an address where you get an automated email saying they no longer monitor the account - not particularly helpful.
Any ideas for working out how to tell if the order has been cancelled (the status on the website says this) but I don't want to risk having two phones!
This is what my order says online (I now even can't get onto the website)
Real time order status for order XXXXXXX at 13 October 19:14
Qty Item Cost Status
1 HTC Desire £0.00 Cancelled
Delivery: £0.00
Total: £0.000 -
I'd try calling on their order hotline as they're more likely to answer the phone to a potential sale! Make sure you get the operator's name and the time of the call and ask them to confirm the status of your order.
If they confirm the order is cancelled then you're free to take your business elsewhere.
(If the phone arrives from them anyway, the Distance Selling Regulations gives you the right to cancel within 7 working days from when you receive the item. (Do not open the box and do not touch the sim card else risk losing your rights.) Inform mobiles.co.uk in writing (by phone is not acceptable) within the 7 days - by recorded post is the surest way and allow them to arrange collection. DSRs allow you to cancel before the phone is delivered and you can refuse delivery.)0 -

If you deal with the devil you have to know how to play the game. Send a LBA and then commence legal procedings if they don't comply. Simples. All the information is here to be found.0 -

If that's what it says they have cancelled it. Usually it's either because a) they won't honour the offer, b) they declined you (not the network) possibly for having too many handsets already in a given period from all cpw companies, or b) the network have declined you. Breath a sigh of relief and go elsewhere.0 -
Thanks very much for the advice. I feel very lucky after reading what other people have said on here. Next time I'll be sure to do more background research!0
