The protectacoat solution is apparently micro porous which means that the wall can breath without allowing water in, rather like gortex, etc. Totally waterproof solutions are a problem because they hold damp in.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

You've missed your calling as a Protectacoat salesperson! :cool:
LOL: nobody sells me anything but sorting the wheat from the chaff IMO protectacoat is a good product, finish a matter of taste, sales technique dubious and an absolutely outragious price.
A good product would sell itself at a reasonable price which I would say should be no more than £5k for the entire house.PLEASE DO NOT STEAL

good job you avoided them!
Competing companies offer similar systems for a QUARTER of the price that protectacoat do!0 -

maninthestreet, shame on you !
you're not implying that instead of a champion of the consumer and friend to wall treatment customers everythere, that mrbell is really using this consumer advice forum in a thinly-disguised attempt to promote his own supposed wall-treatment firm, but which is in fact just a cleverly disguised advertising website which pushes customers on to third party "building" firms of greater or lesser repute...are you ?
what a suspicious mind you must have
:snow_laug altogether now.....let it snow, let it snow, let it snow0 -
@mlz
don't you get sarcasm ? is there some appropriate smiley i should use?
let me simplify
1. no i'm not mrbell
2. i in no way recommend mrbell or his business, frankly i think you'd be better off spreading marmite on your house
3. if for some reason i ever did want my house goo-ed, i wouldn't use mrbell, i'd go with a firm that actually did the work and stood by its guarantees (assuming such firms exist)
4. i was applauding maninthestreet for spotting mrbells attempt to promote his company using this forum
btw i don't work for marmite or and i'm not recommending its wall coating properties0
