Just got a bit of ironing to do then it's sofa with a brew and a piece of choc cake I made yesterday, mmmm#5 - Save £12k in 20260 -
Hello Everyone , long time no see...............oh my luck is unbelievable.
Had Just sorted out my return to work having been off sick to care for my dad who was terminally ill, when I became ill managed 2 half shifts in 2 weeks. GPs kept saying it was a grief reaction but agreed to do some tests. Am now waiting to see a surgeon to have my gall bladder removed and as it is so bad I won't even be able to have keyhole surgery
. GP said I won't feel any better until it is out and the wait will be longer for open surgery unless I get choleycystitis or another attack of biliary colic ( have had 5 that they said were anxiety attacks ). I can't stay off work as I have been off so long I'm into half pay - and a single parent. Ohh dear . Supposed to be working a ten hour shift tommorow and no way I can do that so will be in managers office at 8am to negotiate how I work my hours.
Having said all that I'm having a good day today so hoping to get a fair bit done . My list :- Use up all free veg family gave me before they went on their jollies - parsnip soup simmering away.-was lush and have some extra for lunch tommorow
- Freeze milk as given loads - need to work out what to do with all the eggs
- Do some cleaning and tidying- house has gone to pot
well washing up and hc x1 done - Put my cake buisness on hold - I can't reliably meet deadlines

- Get my insurance details out so I can ring them tommorow, it pays out if i'm off sick longer than 6 months but excludes stress which they will say was the issue with my dad - worth a call though. - not looking good , may be allowed premium wavers for a few month
- Sort out forms for healthplan and claim for DDs new glasses. got the forms an emailed enquiry as i may get something for my daycase procedure last week and maybe something for a hospital stay - not much but it all helps.
- Have entered points on coke zone and claimed an eyepencil , have a nice little make - up set underway for DDs xmas
- Enter some comps - just a few my energy is waning
- Do some surveys - dnq
- Pack items sold on Ebay - not listing again though for a while
- Turned off heating - we have abused that just lately
- Check banks - shuffle money and pay some bills - not looking forward to that

- Think positively

Thanks folks for your support, will lurk regularly for ideas and post as I can. When it rains look for RainbowsWhen its Dark look for Stars0 -

- skirt and a pair of jeans for me, good makes, total £6
- dad bought son a cardigan and top as he decided he hasnt treated him for a while
- stayed in today and done a bit of a tidy, all the jigsaw pieces are in the right box etc, although it still looks a bit of a tip
-made a lovely healthy dinner, mainly using stuff up and we should have a stew for tomorrow with left over veg
found a total of about 50p so far tidying up, has gone in spare change jar
nonoy - I did that too, found my national ticket about 4 weeks ago, got £7.50 when I cashed it in. not bad for so long after and had forgot/thought it was lost.0 -
Hi all,
Late posting for me as I'm had a bit of a messed up weekend, a good weekend but all over the place and spending LOADS of money! LOL
This weekend I have:-
- Dropped DN off at DB2's house in Didcot on Friday night, he cooked his famous "Awesome burgers" - which were AWESOME! He is not known for his culinary skills, shown by his failure to be able to cook the accompanying oven chips...:rotfl: Anyway, he gave me £20 fuel money which was wholly unexpected. It costs me £30 to get there and back and I've done it twice now so was happy to take it!
- Picked up some more Christmas presents in Mr S while there, reduced clothing. 5 tops for friends son for £5!
- Caught the bus into town instead of driving last night to drop DD off at her dads and to take friend out for dinner/cinema for belated birthday present.
- Friend of above friend picked us up and took us home at 11.30, no taxi for us!
- Did audit of present stash
- Went to Mr W to use their post office to get savings card...but was closed for essential maintenence! So travelled further, bought milk and bread which would have been cheaper in Mr T's for no benefit!
- Cleaned bathroom and kitchen with Stardrops, love that stuff!!!
- Took DB3 for lunch in pub, I paid he says he'll pay me back but I don't neccessarily want him to, he's not having a good time of it recently and he's always so good to me so I enjoy treating him when I can...plus he finished my pudding as I was stuffed!!! :A
- Came home from lunch, took two ibuprofen and went to bed for 4 hours with a cracking headache!!!!
- Woke up, sorted dry washing (dried indoors on airer), hung more out on airer, ironed only what I had to, switched HW off.
- Just baked cakes for my lunches, cherries in them so DB3 won't nick them and normal marg in so DD can't eat them
- Sitting watching X Factor now missing my baby. Will get up early tomorrow to go pick her up :T
- NEARLY FINISHED MY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!
- Only thing left to do now is to double check my budget as I have spent A LOT of money this weekend!!!!
Happy weekend my lovelies!!!!
JxxxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0
