****Welcome one and all to the Wish It Was Warm Weekend Chat 16&17 Oct*****

Morning everyone. Very cold here - definitely think heating will be going on this week.

Today I have a pile of things to do at the post office and would like to get some housework done, so will try to be a busy bee and not surf all day. I also really need to get on with finishing foil lining the radiators before we turn them on :D

What are other peeps up to?

Morning Katsu, Bun and Sal...(and those that follow)

Sounds like the Post Office will be a popular place this morning :rotfl:

DD1's home from uni for the weekend and I've just taken her over to her dad's. It's his parents' 60th wedding anniversary so they're having a party today.

I'm intending to loll this morning and am back in bed with cup of tea No 1. Got a party to go to this evening for my choir's 25th anniversary. Doubt it will be the event of the year, but I'm sure it will be ok.

Nowt much else to report, but you lot will be the first to know when there is :T

    Have a great day!

.....forgot to say that I've also got 14 items finishing on eBay tomorrow eve thanks to Sal :). One item's got 11 watchers so there might be a bidding war methinks. Should be fun to watch.

Morning everyone, it's pretty cold here today too.
A strange occurance I've never seen before, the bedroom windows (brand new this week) have condensation on the outside . Wacky :)
They're good though, the house is so quiet I can't sleep for the silence.

I'm just waiting for my totally mental Hoover washing machine to finish. Whatever time I out it on for it ignores me.
I've set it to the one hour wash today but that was an hour and half ago so haven't a clue what time it will finish, hopefully before sundown...
It still says 60 minutes to go, and I've just noticed I never set the temp so it's doing a completely cold wash.......

The heating's been on timer for an hour but gone off now so my feet are getting cold again despite the thick wellyboot socks.

  • Morning Everyone,

Well it is nice and sunny here if a little draughty indoors.

I have already made a phone call this morning and saved myself £25 a month off my outgoings, a step in the right direction.

    1) Need to get started on making the Christmas cards as have loads of bits left from last year.
    2) Get the washing done
    3) Look for some things to sell (don't have anything that exciting but I do have a 500 strong book collection!!!) I dont think these would be worth selling though if they are second hand as it works out quite expensive to buy it, what with postage added on.

Try and find some to relax a little.

    Have a good one everyone.

Don't worry about finishing the guide Sal (not on my account anyway). It was enough to get me thinking that perhaps I could do it as you made it sound very easy. I went round to my friend's and watched her list an item, then put one on myself and made the grand sum of £1.24 - YAY!!

I think I'll only put things on when it's free listings (which they seem to have quite a lot of) and I still just do the very basic stuff as I'm trying to build my feedback up.

What are other people talking about re your TMA? Are they discussing stuff online and saying what their ideas are etc. To be honest Sal, when I was doing my last course, the ones that talked the most about what they were writing were not the ones that came out with the best marks. Empty vessels and all that....
