iphone/wifi help please :)

Options
Hi all

Ok...my husband has recently had an iphone 3gs and I've had a Samsung Galaxy S.

Our internet at home has been set up so that its invisible. If someone was outside and tried to connect, they wouldnt be able to as it doesnt come up in a wifi search.

I connected to it on my Galaxy as I had to put in the log in and password. I think by putting the details in, it finds it but without the details, it doesnt find it (if you see what I mean). Ok, on the Galaxy, whenever I go out and come back, it automatically reconnects to the house wifi.

This is where the problems start... with the iphone, it doesnt automatically reconnect. Each time we try to connect to the wifi via the iphone, we have to manually put the details in each time. It doesnt remember it and there doesnt seem to be an option for the iphone to connect automatically. We had the iphone before the Galaxy so just thought it was because of the way the wifi had been set up but now that the Galaxy automatically connects to the house wifi we must be doing something wrong.

Any ideas?

TIA

Try making the phone forget the connection and re-try it, there may be a remember passwords box you missed.

My SSID is hidden and my iphone automatically connects to it at home

    thanks gj

this is the weird thing though...i dont have to make it forget the connection as it doesnt remember it at all.

it says wifi not connected. ive got to press "other" and then enter the network name each time and press Join

i think if you click forget this network it forgets it each time , well thats what happened to my sons ipod touch a while ago, apple advised me to reset network settings then input the details again and it worked fine from then, so rather than pressing `forget network` try resetting the network settings
