I posted a response as to why referral codes were not allowed. At no point did you try to deny that you got paid for it (In fact, your previous post even seemed to confirm that you did), hence why I posted what I did.
Your entire post and your assertion, 'you' meant that it was aimed at me.
I suggest that you take some lessons in the usage of the English language instead of throwing mud at respectable people making a post to help others. In this case to help people making calls to India.

There was absolutely no reason for me to deny getting paid for it or anything else, till you made unfounded alleagtions aimed squarely at me and calling for this thread to be removed.

You claim, "fact, your previous post even seemed to confirm that you did"
May be it seemed that way to you because of your mindset. The fact remains that I did not confirm or said anything about me getting paid for it.

    May I ask one question?
OneADay', 'DUTR' or 'Money_Grabber13579' are prolific posters here.
But apart from that does has any of them have any interest what so ever in making free calls to India?

    BTW.
For the information of Desies and others who call India, I posted that link at
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2795952

Some don't believe it insisting that it need top-up. Some are accusing me of all sorts things and have been threatened that "this thread will be reported to have it removed".

I started this thread cos I found something useful and wanted to share that information with people who call India.
Shame to see devious posts by the puerile and the malicious trying to discredit me. :(
I guess it is a reflection of certain ignorant attitudes we sometimes encounter in societies some people live in.

Thank you 'Ypaymore' , 'Browntoa' and 'eagleeye' for your factual posts that uphold the truth of the matter. :)

    BTW.
I will soon be posting a new thread, "Free SMS to India"
  • FYI the free calls stopped around 17/11.... so hasn't quite turned out to be untill 31/12/2010.

OH is disappointed but yopu cant complain if its free i suppose.

don't know what went wrong there, 'ice pop'
I used it for free calls till Christmas 2010.
Haven't heard any probs from my Desi friends either.

Now that the free offer is over, the best one I know for mobile calls to India and other international destinations is iCard Mobile. Its a PAYG service. just 1p per minute for international calls, 1p to UK landline and 5p to UK mobs.
