Sounds good to me, as in my local Halfrauds they want £100 odd for one!
Think I shall be ordering one
Thanks for your help

Get yourself a new battery... but you should try to contact the administrators of the company in question, as you may have a claim. It may be very unlikely that you will get any money back and it could take several months or years, but you should register your claim anyway.0

I believe that is what they did, yes.
The guy put the battery under load and then did tests with a meter to see what the alternator was doing, and he said it was charging correctly.
He also turned the engine off and said that no current was being drawn.
I have just done a few checks online and it would appear the companies website is still up and running:
http://www.autoquip.uk.com
However, having did a search of the local stores near me, the one that has the notice on its door and is empty has been removed off 'my nearest store' by postcode and the other 5 that are meant to be local to me (within 25 miles) I know are no longer trading either.
I'm a little confused, are this company still trading or not?
And is there any way, if they are, I can obtain contact details for them?
The website returns all the local "independents" for me. I know they are open still, but wouldn't have thought they would honour each other's warranties. Maybe it's a franchise or similar.0 -
I think they saw you coming if you paid that much, a new battery for our diesel 4x4 (which needs much more oomph to get started than a Mondy ever will) only cost £86 brand new inc VAT (95Ah, 780 CCA).I brought a battery at a total cost of £120 for my Mondeo just over a year ago.
Contact the manufacturerWhere do I now stand?
PS
If you do lots of short start/stop journeys, that will also give the impression the battery is failing when it isn't.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
banner bull batteries are brill fully sealed you can place one of them baby's upsidedown and will not leak and still work. and much cheaper than you paid for your battery.0

Turns out thats my battery. Was £65, not £75 as i first thought. 3 year guarantee, i'm just working out whether mines is good or not.
Had it on a tester today, its 74 AH 640 (cca?) but only putting out 320. Tester suggested charge it so thats what i've done. We'll see how it is in the morning.0 -
