Unfair feedback, user won't revise

Could be. Just as the poster who gave the warning did with collectables. Bought for their own collection, then sold on.
Clothes made for herself or family, then sold on. People buy items then never use them because they go off them and sell them. Is that a business?
And is it any of ours?0 -
I dont want will be off to the charity, home made stuff is going on etsy. If ebay won't sort my feedback out I have half a mind to delete my account completely, as they are always on the side of the buyer.
If she's making stuff to sell, that's by definition a business. Most of the crafters on eBay are in some shape or form a business, and Etsy are probably pretty strict about this as their site is by definition craftwork and craft items. Having read the T&Cs of that site, they are going to be down on you like a ton of bricks if you disappoint buyers.
Strange, as you were so insistent a while back that I was one myself...can't win with you, can we?"Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

You can't win if you start interpreting posts to suit your argument. First of all, the seller was not asking for advice on how to stay within the rules. Nowhere does it say "I am making things to sell", just that they are home made, hence my last post. I did not insist you were running a business, I simply pointed out your situation could be construed that way. That was an attempt to make you think twice before lecturing others, failed miserably.
You are studying accountancy and law. At some stage you have to decide whether to be a gamekeeper or poacher. My view is that you feel more comfortable as gamekeeper. I've been a poacher all my life, so we are naturally going to be in different camps. Nothing personal in it.0 -
I made some hair accessories and sold them, the buyers were very happy with them but I will certainly read into trading laws. I have no problems with negative reps if I have done something wrong but I feel that I did not. When the user stated they wanted to return the skirt, I said I was more than happy to refund them. I refunded the full amount plus the value of the return post as soon as I received the item back. They then gave me a bad reputation stating I had not refunded them which is completely untrue. Ebay emailed me back and said that they wouldn't remove the feedback and just gave me a generic explanation of why they have a feedback system.
Not sure about actually deleting my account but I am giving internet selling a break in general. I am about to start a new job, also do Avon and have lots of other things which are taking up my time at the moment. I may well buy occasionally from ebay but am pretty annoyed about how I have been treated as a seller to be honest.0
