What is the full model number of the laptop? Not quite sure why you hard drive needed to be replaced.
My computer had a virus and wouldn't boo,t in order for my computer to work I was told it would need a new hard drive. If I had known about the tech advice you all kindly offer I would have sought advice from you all before spending money on a new hardrive.

I have an Advent laptop and mine has done the exact same thing ever since I got it and neither myself or anybody I know can figure out why!
It really is annoying so I will be subscribing to this thread to see if a solution is found! :j

I have managed to add the dictionary to my hotmail:j and did the windows update so hopefully my sentences will stop getting jumbled up. I will keep you all posted.

My Toshiba laptop (running XP) has always had this problem and I swear that I am not touching any part of the touchpad (at least some of the time). I've had the laptop 4 years. It is always kept up to date with Windows Update. I just accept that it is a peculiarity of the laptop!0
