No I'm not rude nor ungratefull as that Sam person said!! I've simply asked a question. I have never claimed ESA before or had a child reach the age of 18. The council have answered my question and just so that Sam person knows what he told me was wrong, the council agreed that my son does not have to pay rent or council but my housing and council benefit has been recalculated and I'm gettin less benefit for both, meaning I have to pay it how I'm suposed to do that I am off sick from work and have lost just over 80 a week in working tax credit and SSP. All I get now is about 50 in child tax credit and 64 in ESA when it comes through, I haven't enough to live so can't afford to pay council!

My son is 18 so no longer entitled to child benefit cos his no longer in any education and also because of his age
he gets no maintenance either which was stoped being paid in December. Yes he can use the phone at the jobcentre but will cost 3.80 in bus fare!

Can't you get maintenance from the CSA also don't forget once your youngest child leaves education you will also lose his TC and CB too.

So you're income will drop further.

Hope I haven't come across as being too rude for you!
Be happy, it's the greatest wealth :)
