HTC Desire...where is it?

See it was meant to be out tomorrow but it has been put back but can anyone give a definitive date? Seen on various sites all sorts of different dates. Some saying 19th Oct, 22nd Oct 1st Nov and even the 15th Nov.

Anyone shed any light on it?

Well, I spoke to Orange about that phone and they couldn't be more specific than 'November' so I imagine they are scrambling with the software updates. I want to keep my number so I either have to wait a month for them to catch up or go to Vodafone.

If you want it NOW you can sign up a new contract with Vodafone and get the phone within a week through phones4u (promising 19th Oct):

ive ordered minew from mpd theyve put the date back several time are now saying endof oct but theres a is a list now of people who are waiting and if u havent ordered one already you'll prob have to wait well intol nov

Vodafone is 22nd Oct but that doesn't mean that the stores will have it on that date. That's the date they will be getting it into the warehouse. Plus Pre-orders on this handset will be done first so basically, it's first come first served.

Is that your order despatch date? Mine says 15th Nov which is the same as Amazon are currently saying the release date is, though I understand it's first come first served.
