Is it ok to buy a used iPad?

Hi, I would appreciate your help with this question. Someone wants to sell me his used iPad. He said he bought it from Comet and still have the original receipt as proof. Apparently he also has the warranty with 11 months on it. Is it ok to buy? Thank you.

I imagine a second hand one will usefully prop a door open just as much as a new one, if your friend hasn't managed to work out anything more useful for it to do and is desperately trying to sell it on will you fare any better?

If you must check ebay and make him a nice low offer, you'll be being generous
