This guide - http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.php shows how to access many routers to get at the stats and getting to the settings is essentially the same.

Most Speedtouch routers can be accessed from an attached machine using ....

    http://192.168.1.1

You'll need to know what you set the user/password to if it isn't the defaults (often some combination of admin or Admin for either or both but the frogstats page or google should help with that). If you can't get in you'll need to find the reset button which needs to be held in as power is applied and will reset it to defaults.

As mentioned below I got the IP wrong for Speedtouch - as I used to have one it must be my age creeping on :)

it might not support WPA 2 . if your password is strong enough you will be fine with WPA .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

You want to find the exact model number from the front or underneath, then it's a matter of Googling for the technical specification, or perhaps the User Manual!

Hi, Thanks for info, seems my router doesn,t support WPA2.Can I ask you if I can change my password manually, as it,s not as secure as I would like it, reviewing it? Do I disconnect to reset it to a new one, The one on now was selected by AOL, my ISP.It,s only 3 letters+3 numbers, not exactly high.spec.

Not Password protected button then password protected button and enter new password .
    Save reboot router .

Delete old password on wireless devices in some cases you may have to delete the old access point .
Enter new password on wireless devices .

Hi , Regarding my password which I thought was strong enough, I decided to change it, BUT, I have hit a snag. As administrator, my laptop is always logged onto my wireless router, and password remembered. However, when I click on administrator in my router, then to change password, it keeps saying my old P?w is not correct, even though it,s written down in my "black book" which I keep secure.I have used it several times recently, successfully, when working on my daughter, and grandaughters PCs, piggybacking on my router, using same PW.so I am stummped as to find out what PW the router has remembered, so I can change it.I have disconnected and reconnected ok, because it,s rememering my PW which I now cannot find.Any help would be most grateful.
